The President of the Philippines has been accused by his unofficial wife, and several others, of being violent. Honeylet Avanceña claims, that despite Duterte having COVID, the President has found the strength to beat his partner up, severely hurting her and breaking multiple bones in her body.

Avanceña now plans on leaving Duterte. She claims that he has been abusive to her on multiple occasions, and his recent assault was the last straw.

Duterte has been accused of being violent before. This is not the first time the President has lost romantic partners due to violence.
