July 15, 2020
Toronto, Canada

There is a report an Indigenous woman was assaulted by 2 Toronto Police Officers and 2 Special Constables. This happened at Kipling Station on July 8, 2020.

According to Natalie Mishibinijima-Bisson, she was assaulted then held by police for 1 week on a “form 3” before being released. However, Natalie disputes the legitimacy of that form and said it was filed unlawfully. Natalie plans on pressing charges against the police officers, and has hired legal representation.

I made the biggest scene possible. I wasn’t going to be another MMIWG2SB! ALL MY REAL FRIENDS KNOW I WOULDN’T LIE ABOUT THIS. MISSISSAUGA TRILLIUM WILL NOT BE FORGETTING MY NAME. I HAVE OBTAINED LEGAL REPRESENTATION.

This is not the only recent example of police brutality against Indigenous people. Regis Paquet was allegedly tossed of her balcony by Toronto Police during wellness check. Ejaz Choudry was shot and killed by police in Peel Region during a wellness check.

Good morning. I would like to share something very personal that happened to me. I was assaulted by 2 members of Toronto…
